Water Features Artwork

These feature items are basically one of a kind artwork pieces. Each is hand crafted using various metal forming techniques to create textures and free form art. All pieces are hand painted using traditional Art Guilders Paste to create soft or bold blended colors or various treatments used within the blacksmith trade. These paints are generally not recommended for exterior use unless clear coated with a UV solvent based stable clear lacquer, varnish or acrylic coating. If you have ever seen any ornamental iron work with brilliant colors, this is the paint used on those details. These paints don't fade and are an excellent product for this type of art work.

Many of the items listed below are stand alone artwork pieces or used in combination for unique candle holders. I foresee many of these pieces as unique table top displays while entertaining or just the opportunity to own a creative artwork piece.

These items can be used outdoors for a water feature enhancement provided you clear coat the item as described above.

I have the ability to work individually with you should you have the desire to have an item created personally for your specifications.

These items generally feature unique combinations of cattails, water lily, flowers, arum leaves, frogs, dragonfly, butterfly, candle holders, etc. More water-type features such as reeds, rushes, sedges, etc. are in the design phase and could be incorporated into your sculpture.

Here is an opportunity for you to obtain unique art work not generally found in the trade. These are NOT made in China pieces, rather each is individually created and crafted by myself for your enjoyment.

This artwork piece contains 6 lily pads, 5 arum leaves, 2 cattail groups, 1 flower candle holder, 1 textured frog with textured dragonfly, 1 lizard and 1 blue Heron 15" tall (the heron has a clip on base and can be moved around (other items are stationary.) Many of the items on this piece have detailed textures. All items hand painted with attention to details and creativity.	SKU # WF001-12x25DP	Price 350.00

	12x25 oval base diamond plate steel. This artwork piece features both a large (21" and small 7" heron), 4 cattail designs, frog, dragonfly, wood log. You could place a few candles in holders around the design for outside night-time entertainment. The candle shown in the picture was placed there as an example.	SKU # WF002-12x25DP	Price 350.00

	12" diameter circle of diamond plate steel as a base. This piece features 6 water lily pads, 1 candle holder and candle, textured frog and dragonfly. The frog/dragonfly can be moved around while the lily pads and flower candle holder are stationary. A combination of items sure to please.	SKU # WF003	Price 125.00

	Heron with cattails on circle. This item features a 10-1/2" tall heron on a 8" circular base. A set of cattails and dragonfly round out the theme. This is a unique forming project where heat is applied to create the entire color scheme. Mixed colors of blue, gold, bronze, etc. all blend in for a creative finish. Room is left where you can set a candle on the base for nighttime entertainment.	SKU # WF004	Price 75.00

	WOW really describes this piece as the colors just pop out at you! One of my favorite creations, this one features a 10-1/2" tall heron with a fish in its mouth. A textured cattail cluster adds to the piece while the dragonfly lights atop the cattail foliage. The colors just blended great on this project for a stunning effect.	SKU # WF005	Price 125.00

	A different combination of heat treated items as well as painted and textured details. This creation starts with a 12" circular diamond plate base that is heat treated for color effect. Added to this is a 28" tall heat treated heron. Enlarge the picture to see the details of the cattail cluster, frog and dragonfly. Truly a rainbow of colors and details on this piece. 	Another free-form design with a combination of heat treatments and hand painting. (This piece has been clear coated which has added depth to the colors and provides an additional protective finish.) The completed project combines a 11" tall painted heron, brass textured dragon fly and painted cattails. A little bonus item, the heron has caught a bit of food with the textured "tadpole". Well, sure, it looks like a rather "large" tadpole, but then again, maybe it's some type of fish as a tadpole would be soooooooo small you would never see it! A tad bit of humor to the item, but you can remove the "tadpole" if you like.	SKU # WF007	Price 125.00

	A free-form base design about 10 x 12 inches. Although you can't see it in the picture, I base coated the entire project with a sand textured paint and then hand painted each item with guilders paint. It gives a "texture" to the finished items that is different from the previous projects. This features a 15" tall blue heron, blue dragonfly and green/rust cattail highlight. The center candle is not permanently attached, move around as you like.	SKU # WF008	Price 125.00

	This piece features a different lake form base, about 10 x 12". A 15" tall blue heron stands regally over the base. Looking closely, you will observe a nice gold dragonfly resting comfortably on the cattail grass blade, although it should be ready to fly to prevent becoming the herons meal. I truly love the way the colors came together for the marsh water - a different color combination than other pieces I have created.	SKU # WF009	Price 135.00

	This piece features a water form design with several water lilies and a candle holder. The two frogs look like they are holding up the candle or maybe just warming their hands up. Either way, the two frogs are not mounted permanently. You could easily bend the legs and put them on top of the lily if you want to change things around.	SKU # WF010	Price 85.00
